Thursday: Arrival & Texas Kickoff

Arrival and Check-In

  • Afternoon: Guests arrive at The Cedars Ranch, get settled into their accommodations, and enjoy a leisurely stroll around the property to get acquainted.
  • Optional: “Real Texas” Outing: Arrange a trip to a nearby gun range for those who want an authentic Texas experience. A car service can easily transport groups to and from the ranch.

 

Evening Activities

1. Explore Austin Nightlife (about a 45-minute to 1-hour drive)Iconic BBQ: Terry Black’s, Franklin Barbecue, or Salt Lick.

  • Music & Comedy: See a concert at Stubb’s, Emo’s, Mohawk, or Antone’s, or catch a comedy show at the Mothership.
  • Late-Night Fun: Wander 6th Street or Rainey Street.

Transportation: A car service can be arranged from The Cedars Ranch to Austin and back, making it a breeze for everyone.

2. Cozy Movie Night (on-site option)

  • Hire an outdoor cinema vendor to set up by the pool. Guests can lounge poolside with snacks and drinks, enjoying a relaxed kickoff to the weekend.

3. Pickleball Tournament Kickoff

  • If you’re hosting the multi-day pickleball tournament, Thursday evening is a fun time to start some casual practice matches or round-robins. Keep track of scores so the tournament can continue throughout the weekend.
Friday: Adventure & Welcome Dinner

  • Welcome Dinner by the Pool Bar: Gather all guests for a casual get-to-know-you event. A local Austin taco truck brings authentic flavor and sets a relaxed, fun tone.
  • Hat & Boot Party: Invite local artisans who offer custom cowboy boots and hat fittings on-site. Guests can immerse themselves in true Texas style and walk away with unique wedding souvenirs.
Saturday: Relaxation & Wedding Celebration

Morning & Midday

  • Yoga Session: Start the day on a tranquil note. Bring in a local instructor to lead a relaxing morning yoga class.
  • On-Site Massages: A traveling massage therapist can set up at The Cedars Ranch and offer massages throughout the day. Guests sign up for a time slot at their convenience.
  • Explore the Property: Enjoy the walking/hiking trails, play bocce ball, or get in more pickleball games. This free time lets guests unwind while the couple and wedding party do final preparations.


Evening: The Wedding

  • Wedding Ceremony & Reception: Host the ceremony in one of The Cedars Ranch’s picturesque locations, followed by a reception in the indoor or outdoor space of your choice.

 

After-Party Options:

  1. Poolside Gathering: Keep the celebration going with music and late-night conversation by the water.
  2. Bonfire Under the Stars: Gather around a cozy fire pit, share stories, and enjoy acoustic music or simply the sounds of nature.
Sunday: Farewell & Brunch

FAQs

We have been very fortunate to work with so many wonderful vendors who make it easy for us to recommend their services. Although we don’t require our guests to use vendors off of our list, we encourage them to start there as the listed vendors know our property and work well with us and our guests.

We require our guests to hire a wedding planner and recommend a day of coordinator to help provide you with a stress free day focused on themselves and their loved ones.

We require all of our couples to purchase event insurance for their own peace of mind. Eventhelper.com is a super easy and affordable option.

Yes we allow pets with advanced notice and payment of our pet fee of $100 per pet (one pet allowed per lodging unit.)

Yes! When booking, please add in the notes section the names of your friends you would like to be located next to. We will do our best to accommodate.

We are pretty centrally located between both San Antonio Airport and Austin Bergstrom.

We have two handicap accessible lodging units and all of our event spaces (event hall, ceremony site, garden, and lounge) are handicap accessible.

After using the event spaces, we ask that all trash be contained in a bin and taken out to our larger bins or dumpster. Decorations, flatware, and other event items should be removed and cleaned up as well. Any extra or extensive cleaning required by us may result in a fee.

Modern lounge space with custom-built bar that is ideal for cocktail parties or smaller dinner events, plus the perfect groomsmen lounge, daytime working space, and breakout meeting space for corporate retreats.
